Go Kyung Pyo is a South Korean actor. He was born in Seoul and grew up in Incheon, where his parents run a makguksu restaurant, and was scouted off the street in his second year of middle school — he turned it down and went to an acting academy two years later instead. He trained for a while at YG Entertainment, and while reading film at Konkuk University made shorts with his classmates, one of which, "Good Kyung-soo", won him Best Actor at the university's own festival. He had meant to do his military service in 2010 but postponed it after passing an open audition, and debuted that year in "Jungle Fish 2".

He was in the first three seasons of "Saturday Night Live Korea" from 2011 to 2012, then the sitcom "Standby" (2012), and a turn as a hopeless student teacher in "Horror Stories 2" (2013) got him the lead in the sitcom "Potato Star 2013QR3". Audiences took to him for a friendliness the press kept comparing to Olaf from "Frozen".

"Reply 1988" widened that considerably. As Sung Sun Woo, the dependable son and the one friend everybody's mother approves of, he came out of it well enough that when the production took the cast to Phuket as a reward, the director Na Young Seok abducted four of them mid-holiday and flew them to Namibia to shoot "Youth Over Flowers". He won a New Star Award at the SBS Drama Awards for "Don't Dare to Dream" (2016), led "Chicago Typewriter" (2017), "Strongest Deliveryman" (2017) and "Cross" (2018), then served from May 2018 to January 2020.

Since returning: "Private Lives" (2020), Park Chan Wook's "Decision to Leave" (2022), which competed for the Palme d'Or and brought him a Popular Star Award and a Best Supporting Actor nomination at the Blue Dragon Film Awards, "Seoul Vibe" and "Love in Contract" (2022), Takashi Miike's "Connect" (2022), "Frankly Speaking" (2024) and "Undercover Miss Hong". He has sung for his own dramas since 2013 — "La La La" for "Strongest Deliveryman" among them — and in November 2024 released the single "We Were In Love" and the two-track "UP SIDE DOWN".
