Jung Il Woo is a South Korean actor who broke through as Lee Yoon Ho in the sitcom Unstoppable High Kick (2006), then led The Return of Iljimae (2009) and 49 Days (2011), where he played the Scheduler — a wisecracking modern-day grim reaper. The Moon That Embraces the Sun (2012) made him a Hallyu name, and he has since starred in The Night Watchman (2014), Cinderella and Four Knights (2016), Haechi (2019), Bossam: Stealing Fate (2021) and Our Golden Days (2025). In 2017 he became the first Korean actor to take a lead role in a Thai series, Love and Lies. He served in the army from December 2016 until his discharge on November 30, 2018. In Flower Boy Ramen Shop (2011) he played Cha Chi Soo, the arrogant heir who talks his way behind the counter of a ramen shop to stay near the woman he cannot stop thinking about — and sang "A Person Of Yours" for its soundtrack.
