Jung Woo Yeon is a South Korean actress and singer who debuted in 2010 under her own name, Ryu Hyo Young, with the co-ed group Coed School, and moved to its female unit F-ve Dolls the year after, staying until it disbanded. She has acted throughout — Jungle Fish 2 (2010), The Greatest Love (2011), 12 Years Promise and Family Secrets (both 2014), Golden Pouch (2016), Grand Prince (2018), A Good Supper (2021), Meant to Be and Oh! Young Sim (both 2023) — and took the Miss Chunhyang pageant in 2010 and New Rising Star at the Asia Model Awards in 2017. She and her twin sister Ryu Hwa Young were spotted together on the variety show Star King and signed by the same company, one of them going into Coed School and the other into T-ara. She was billed as Ryu Hyo Young for the first part of her career, including in School 2013, where she played Lee Kang Joo, the student pushed by a mother who will not hear otherwise.
