Lee Jong Suk is a South Korean actor and model who walked the Seoul Collection at fifteen in 2005 — the youngest male model to do so — and modelled for six years before turning to acting. School 2013 was his breakthrough and won him Best New Actor at the KBS Drama Awards; I Can Hear Your Voice (2013) and Pinocchio (2014) made him a lead, and he has taken the Daesang twice since, for W (2016) and Big Mouth (2022). His films include The Face Reader (2013), VIP (2017) — his first villain — and Decibel (2022). He served as a public service officer from March 2019 to January 2021, having been ruled unfit for active duty by an old knee injury, and has been close friends with Kim Woo Bin, his co-star here, since their modelling days. In School 2013 he played Go Nam Soon, the boy who has stopped trying at anything and will not say what happened between him and Park Heung Soo.
