GENERAL INFORMATION

Oh My Venus

KOREAN DRAMA

Synopsis

When you were top of the pecking order at school and bottom of it in adulthood, can you climb back?

Kang Joo Eun was the "Venus of Daegu": envied by every girl and wanted by every boy. Poor but determined, she made it to law school and became an attorney. At 33 she has the career and a boyfriend of fifteen years in Im Woo Shik — and somewhere along the way she let herself go, and is now overweight and overlooked by everyone around her.

Flying home from a business trip she has an embarrassing run-in with Kim Young Ho and his two sidekicks. Young Ho is a celebrity personal trainer to Hollywood stars, working under the name John Kim, who has fled to Korea to let a scandal cool — only for his wealthy family to install him as president of their medical services company the moment they learn he is back.

A lost purse brings the two together again, just as Joo Eun is dumped by Woo Shik and discovers he has been seeing her new boss. Bailing her out is becoming a habit for Young Ho; can he help her reclaim her old self too?
