Ji Soo, born Kim Ji Soo, is a South Korean actor. He trained in judo as a boy before turning to acting, made his stage debut in 2009 and spent time as a JYP Entertainment trainee. His breakout was Angry Mom (2015), and the same year he played Seo Ha Joon in Cheer Up!; he went on to Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo (2016), Strong Girl Bong-soon (2017) and My First First Love (2018), and was named Actor of the Year at the Busan International Film Festival in 2020. In March 2021, anonymous allegations of school bullying led him to post an apology; he was written out of River Where the Moon Rises and his agency ended his contract. His lawyers later stated that some of the accusations were false and identified one accuser who admitted fabricating them, and the matter was never conclusively resolved. He completed his military service and returned to acting in 2024, since when he has been based in the Philippines, appearing in Black Rider and Abot-Kamay na Pangarap.
