Shin Se Kyung is a South Korean actress who entered the industry at eight, appearing on the cover and poster of Seo Taiji's 1998 album Take Five, and grew up on screen through the children's show Ppo Ppo Ppo and the period drama Toji (2005). Her breakthrough came as the housemaid in the sitcom High Kick Through the Roof (2009), followed by Deep Rooted Tree (2011), which won her an Excellence Award at the SBS Drama Awards, and Fashion King (2012). She played Boon Yi in Six Flying Dragons (2015-2016) and took the title role in Rookie Historian Goo Hae-ryung (2019), earning a Top Excellence Award at the MBC Drama Awards. Later work includes Run On (2020-2021) and Captivating the King (2024).
