Yoo Ah In, born Uhm Hong Sik, is a South Korean actor who debuted in the teen series Sharp 1 (2003) and rose to fame with the fusion sageuk Sungkyunkwan Scandal (2010). He drew wide acclaim for the cable melodrama Secret Love Affair (2014), the films Veteran and The Throne (both 2015), and his turn as Lee Bang Won in Six Flying Dragons (2015-2016), which won him Best Actor (TV) at the Baeksang Arts Awards. Later work includes Burning (2018), #Alive and Voice of Silence (2020) and the Netflix series Hellbound (2021). Away from acting he is creative director of Studio Concrete, the Seoul artist collective he founded in 2014. In September 2024 he was sentenced to a year in prison for habitual illegal drug use; an appellate court suspended the sentence and he was released in February 2025.
